Celebrating love is always an honor, and getting to photograph Kendal and Zack as they celebrated their second wedding anniversary made this session even more meaningful. 1.5 years ago, they exchanged vows during a beautiful outdoor wedding just outside of Yosemite, followed by an unforgettable adventure exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Yosemite for their wedding portraits. Their love for the outdoors and meaningful experiences made Hildebrand Ranch in Jefferson County, Colorado, the perfect place to celebrate this next chapter together.
We met during golden hour, when the warm Colorado sunlight created the dreamiest backlighting across the open fields. The soft glow, beautiful scenery, and peaceful atmosphere made every moment feel romantic and timeless. From the moment we started, these two couldn’t stop laughing. We spent the evening walking the trails, talking about life, reminiscing about their wedding day, and creating new memories together. Instead of stiff poses, we focused on genuine connection, playful movement, and all the little moments that make their relationship unique. We even brought out bubbles, which added so much fun and made for some of my favorite images as they laughed together in the golden light.
Anniversary sessions are such a wonderful reminder that your love story doesn’t end on your wedding day. Every year brings new adventures, new memories, and new reasons to celebrate the life you’re building together.
