Sophie & Peyton | Proposal at Mount Falcon, Colorado
What started as a simple "couples photo session" turned into one of the most unforgettable evenings of Sophie and Peyton’s lives. Peyton’s cover story was easy and believable—they were just heading to Mount Falcon for some couples photos together. Sophie had no reason to suspect anything different as they made their way up the trail toward one of Colorado’s most beautiful overlooks. What she didn’t know was that everyone else was in on the surprise.
The hike to the location was part of the adventure. With stunning mountain views surrounding them, the anticipation quietly built for those who knew what was coming. Meanwhile, Sophie was simply enjoying the evening and looking forward to having photos taken together. Once we arrived at the overlook, the beautiful Colorado landscape provided the perfect backdrop. As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, Peyton turned what Sophie thought was a photo session into a moment she would never forget. Completely caught off guard, she was overwhelmed with surprise, emotion, and excitement as Peyton got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Her reaction was everything you hope for in a surprise proposal—genuine, emotional, and filled with tears & joy. The combination of the breathtaking mountain views and such a meaningful moment made for memories that will last a lifetime.
After the proposal, we spent time capturing portraits of the newly engaged couple as they soaked in every second of their new chapter together. The excitement, laughter, and constant smiles made photographing them effortless. To end the night, Sophie and Peyton celebrated with a champagne pop overlooking the Colorado mountains. It was the perfect way to close out an incredible evening—raising a glass to their future together while surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery Colorado has to offer.
